The Saguache elk lodge is located in the Gunnison National Forest and is a private in-holding consisting of 40 acres. The lodge consists of two (2) separate 1-bedroom, 3/4 bath cabins with full kitchens and laundry appliances, separated by a garage with common entertainment area above the garage. A perfect place to base your elk hunts from, the lodge also has a 2-stall horse barn with tack room. Located behind locked gates, the elk lodge is secluded and offers exclusive access to the Gunnison National Forest. Completely off-grid, the lodge collects and stores solar power and also has a 10 kW backup propane generator. Two buried propane tanks store propane fuel and rainwater is collected and stored in two 3,000 gallon cisterns with an additional 2,000 gallon cistern serving the barn. Situated at 11,000 feet, the property is located in GMU 551 and offers excellent elk and mule deer hunting
