Rock Creek Farm at Fort Peck consists of 2,750± deeded acres and 2,680 leased BLM acres, totaling 5,430 acres. Nestled within the ranch's picturesque surroundings, you'll find an abundance of healthy grass and an expansive, roughly 700+/- acres of winter wheat sown throughout the land, providing both sustenance and stunning scenery. Encompassing 18 parcels, the ranch is contiguous to thousands of acres of Bureau of Land Management (BLM) land, which connects to State land, Fort Peck Recreation Area, and Charles M. Russell (CMR) National Wildlife Refuge. The property is located less than ten miles to the east of Fort Peck Reservoir, which is one of the largest bodies of water in Montana. There are over 45 different fish species that inhabit Fort Peck, producing multiple state record fish. A mix of rolling plains, badlands, and river valleys characterizes the topography around this area. This ranch is no different and consists of a vast expanse of good grassland and wheat fields intertwined with old-growth creek bottoms and seasonal reservoirs, providing a diverse landscape and habitat for a plethora of animals. From numerous vantage points across the ranch on the coal-stripped outcroppings, panoramic views stretch endlessly. Where the pheasants, waterfowl, deer, and antelope play today, dinosaurs roamed millions of years ago, and their remains have been found throughout the area. This area is renowned for excellent hunting for deer and antelope, with solid numbers of upland game birds, especially pheasants. Just half an hour from Fort Peck Dam and less than 10 miles from Rock Creek Marina, it is easy to imagine days spent on the Fort Peck Lake/Reservoir, casting to walleyes, smallmouth bass, northern pike, lake trout, and chinook salmon.
